Tablets have been a part of our mobile computing experiences for almost a decade. But beyond a larger screen, what value do they provide beyond what the more numerous smart phones already offer?

To date, not much more than a more comfortable reading experience. That is, "comfortable" if you're lying down or sitting down and have nothing else you need to be doing with your hands, arms, legs, and torso. If you're supine, with your legs up to support your tablet, it's comfortable.
